'The competition highlights a meaningful and creative partnership that combines fashion while raising awareness for heart disease. The American Heart Association\'s Go Red For Women® movement has a long standing and exclusive partnership with Philadelphia University\'s Fashion Design Program providing fashion designers an opportunity to create red dresses, the symbol of the Go Red For Women campaign, while using their creativity for a special cause—raising awareness for the #1 killer of women, cardiovascular disease. The collaboration culminates at a Red Dress Press Preview Party and Gala luncheon where students display their creativity, craftsmanship and designs in a runway fashion show.
