'The RAPID 2012 Conference and Exposition started off with a bang with the 3D FABulous Fashion Show, sponsored by Materialise. The runway extravaganza, held in the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, took place during the opening reception of what is considered by many to be the most important conference in the Additive Manufacturing industry.There were over forty, 3D printed pieces created by famous designers such as Brussels\' master milliner Elvis Pompilio, necklaces by Daniel Widrig and a collection of stunning pieces that redefine how accessories can be worn by Nicolo Casas. In addition, the 20 top designs from Materialise\'s \'Hat\'s off to 3D Printing Challenge\' and the RAPID design contest were shown. It truly put the HOT back in Hotlanta!
