'This is Part 1 of of a series about sewing a mid-17th Century ensemble that consists of a petticoat and jacket. In Part 1 I make a matching petticoat and start creating the pattern for the bodice. Part 2 will show the making of the bodice. It is based off an original jacket shown in Patterns of Fashion 5 (which is available here: https://shop.theschoolofhistoricaldress.org.uk/product-category/books/?v=79cba1185463 ) My fabric is a vintage piece from Penny River Costumes: https://www.instagram.com/pennyrivercostumes/?hl=en The metallic trim is from Renaissance Fabrics: https://www.renaissancefabrics.net/ Music from epidemicsound.com ******Other places to see my work****** My historical jewelry shop: https://www.damesalamode.com/ My Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dames_a_la_mode/ My Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/damesalamode/ My Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/damesalamode Support my content via Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/damesalamode My Amazon page with my favorite historical costuming tools and references (these are affiliate links - I will receive a small incentive if you purchase via one of my links - thank you!): https://www.amazon.com/shop/dames_a_la_mode'
