'How to wear shorts from the barbeque to the bar, with 3 key trends for menswear SS14. Ray ban style, beach life and highstreet Inspiration tips with NHJ. http://www.nhjstyle.com/personal-styling-for-him/ Trouser look And for the men out there, we haven\'t forgotten about you - I\'ve got three great smart/casual looks that will update your wardrobe for this season. The first look that we\'ve got today is all about the trouser and normally men will go for navy, grey, black trousers, but we\'ve gone for a burgundy which really livens up an outfit and the neutrals that you\'ll already have existing in your wardrobe right now. So a great pair of slim fitting trousers that do that smart casual and we\'ve teamed that up with a midnight blue shirt, which takes it from day to dinner really nicely. We\'ve popped a bit of trend in here, the floral tie, just to give it that edge; it\'s optional, but it really finishes the look off nicely and just by adding brown details, makes it slightly more smart casual, than going for a smarter look. The loafer shoes are a suede, so it just gives it a softer look and I think it\'s a great look. Shorts look Our second look is a shorts look. Now, I\'m really excited about this because it just takes the shorts from beach to high street. By putting this look together, it really takes you through summer nicely. Now, instead of going for usual neutral colours, we\'ve put the pop of colour in the shorts with this vibrant green and then framed it with a neutral jacket, which looks absolutely fantastic and then given it that gingham shirt look, which really gives it that fresh summer take. Details are key, so we\'ve just popped a belt here, a navy belt in leather, which just finishes off that look and then again with the shoes, just to pull that whole look together, for a complete outfit. Jeans Look And my third and final look, is the jeans look. Now, instead of going for your normal blue, we have opted for a grey and this sort of distressed feel on the jean really gives it that summer look. Pastels are very key for the season, so we\'ve teamed the jeans with a coral colour knit and then finished it off with a mint stripped shirt, which gives it that pop of summer freshness, which takes you from the barbecue to the bar. Popping down to the shoe is an alternative to the trainer, which looks a little bit better, more cohesive to the outfit. Always remember to pop a watch on that works with your outfit, which we\'ve done here and then last but not least for those sunshine days we\'ve added some great, Ray-Ban take sunglasses.'
